I recently listed a condo that needed minimal staging. The overall costs for staging was less than $300, yet the results were extremely rewarding. Here are the before and after pics. Make sure you see the end results at the end.
When staging a kitchen, make sure to remove ANY and ALL items from the top of cabinets. You want the prospective buyer to see the quality of the cabinets, and notice the ceiling height. When there is clutter above the cabinets, the buyer is not able to take in the whole look and feel (airy, lofty, large, open space). In this case, we wanted as much attention as possible to go to the Viking appliances.
This was a SIMPLE $150 paint job to update and make the foyer very crisp, clean and welcoming. Remember you never get a second chance to make a first impression!
Notice the beautiful wood grain beaming from the floor! This color scheme calmed the entry down, and gave it a very sleek feel.
I like plants, but they should never take over the space or away from upgrades in a home. This home had the highest possible quality of custom blinds installed, and that needed to be seen as well as the open space.
My reminder about rugs: When on wood floors, ALWAYS remove the rugs. It makes the room look larger, cleaner, and you get a sense of high quality.
End Result: SOLD in 2 DAYS…ABOVE ASKING PRICE!
